Te Māra Hūpara trip

Kia Ora,

On Wednesday in Week 6 Hay Park School went on a trip to the Te Māra Hūpara playground. We all had to get on buses and take a short journey to the park.

When we got there we got to play on all the equipment. We stayed at the park for half the day. We headed back to school around 12pm, lunch time.

We enjoyed:

  • playing games with my friends
  • walking along the stepping logs
  • climbing different things
  • climbing trees
  • walking to the park and back to the bus
  • playing tag
  • sitting on the logs and sliding to the end
  • relaxing with my friends
  • jumping off the logs
  • watching the eels and ducks from the bridge
  • balancing on the tree trunks

Our challenges:

  • dealing with injuries
  • balancing on the tree trunks
  • trying not to sit on bird poop
  • trying not to slip
  • being calm while walking on the tall logs
  • making sure we don’t go too close to the stream
  • sitting on the hard damp wooden logs
